Toshiba Qosmio X775 Review
The gaming laptop is one of Top 10 Gaming Laptop great choice. The Toshiba Qosmia X775 review
has been very positive overall. Reviewers were consistently impressed
with this gaming laptop has great specifications and affordable
prices. Amazon.com customer review rated it 4.0 stars out of 5. Here with one of customer reviews :
Jredd22 Wrote : ” I
purchased this laptop a little over a month ago and I am really happy
with some aspects and disappointed with others. The 3D works great. The
movies look good and so do the games played in 3D. It has some upconvert
abilities when it comes to the 3D. It will upconvert DVDs only and not
blurays or so far as I can tell. I could never get standard blurays to
play in 3D but I’m sure you can find software that will do it. The PC
runs great for normal activities but when it comes to gaming it does not
run so great. The PC runs hotter than most as it is, although nothing
too bad under normal use, however, when you try to play a game you get
stutter for maybe 30 seconds where the frame rate drops significantly.
This happens about every minute or two so it is annoying. The graphics
are great but this stutter is a major issue that has not been addressed
by Toshiba yet. For me even when I lower the graphics the stutter still
occurs so it doesn’t seem to matter. If you look this issue up on the
Toshiba forum you will find several people having the same problem
without an apparent solution. If Toshiba puts out an update to fix this
problem I would give it 5 stars and recommend it but as it stands I
would only recommend this computer if you don’t plan on gaming. Weird
that this laptop is advertised for gaming but yet has such a problem
with doing the very thing it was marketed to do. **UPDATE** I forgot to
revise my review but after the BIOS update the games play fine now
without any stutter. I give the laptop 5 stars now.”

” I really didn’t know what to expect
with the MSI brand, but as far as quality of parts and being well built
or put together, MSI is a go for those of you standing on the sidelines
afraid like I was. Don’t forget the manufacturer has a two year parts
warranty and one year accident warranty.
First, I chose the MSI over the ASUS or an Alienware because of the
number of options for the price. I could get a Solid State Hard Drive,
675mx graphics card (new kepler build like 680m), and other small
options like better speakers, love the steel series keyboard, and maxed
out 16gb ram. Oh well, you can read the specs and all of the adapters
and plug ins.
This is my first solid state drive and it is signficantly faster than
other harddrives. No hangups, error messages, limited bloatware.
I would give the computer a 4 stars rating, because I do have
reservations about the screen. The screen is an anti-glare matte finish
screen, so you do not get that pop of color and brightness to which I
have become accustomed. For the most part, I do not look at the screen,
because my laptop is closed while I run the display through my plasma
tv; however, the screen could be brighter, but it is more of an I thing
than a MSI failure.
I will update with better anaylsis and some numbers. Only numbers I
have so far is that it plays Guild Wars 2 on max settings, except one
was not turned to ultra and got 68-72fps. I will have to turn the other
setting onto ultra and update you if it changes signficantly “

and quality with this gaming laptop. The Alienware M18X has 8GB of DDR3
RAM, which is quickly becoming the industry minimum for serious gamers.
This laptop can support up to 32GB of RAM. This gaming system has a
750GB hard disk which should be enough for most gamers but media freaks

my local Bestbuy. After I did some research my confidence swayed towards
the Alienware. Once received and powered on, I was happy to see it rip

8. ASUS G75VW

Top 10 Gaming Laptop great choice that can certainly can get the job done for casual day to day gamers. The
ASUS G75VW AS71

RAM, an NVIDIA graphics card and a state-of-the-art processor, it is a
high quality machine for those that are not willing to spend quite as
much as on the Alienware laptops. One of the only problems that gamers
have had with the device is the fact that the sound system on the laptop
isn’t all that great; the built-in speakers do not yet have the
advanced functionality to emit clear vocals when the gamer is listening
to music at the same time. This laptop will set you back in and around
$1,400.

ASUS G75VW Review
The ASUS G75VW AS71 is great choice for gamer. It has total of 99 reviews and scores an impressive 4 out of 5 possible on Amazon.com.
The screen shines through with 1080p, the processor is a magnificent
3rd Generation i7, the RAM is at an overkill of 16GB, and the graphics
card can handle Skyrim in Ultra High Resolution. There’s not much to be
said about tis laptop other than what I’ve already said, I record the
games I play with Fraps, and everything works smoothly during that
process (relating to the RAM for those of you who don’t know about Fraps
and FPS.) The only downside to this laptop is that it’s huge and heavy.
I’ve only taken it to school once and trust me, this is a “stay at
home” type of laptop. The cooling system makes it larger than it has to
be, and I know as a fact the more expensive MSI laptops are sleeker.
9. Alienware M17x R4
If you are looking for a top-of-the-line Gaming laptop,
Alienware M17x R4
is an amazing piece of hardware. It can get expensive if you go for
customization, but the underlying build is of good quality. With the
120Hz LCD display, gamers might as well be standing inside the gaming
world. The 7970M Radeon graphics card is considered to be one of the
best, if not the best, graphics card in the industry. The only problem
that gamers have is the fact that the laptop has only 2GB video memory.
Still, the benefits of the high quality display, the graphics and the
incredibly fast cooling capabilities of this machine make it the one of
Top 10 Gaming Laptops choice for gamers around the world.
Alienware M17x R4 Specs
The
Alienware M17x R4 is the next step in gaming evolution, featuring a powerful new chipset, advanced graphics options and an optional 3D screen

- Storage (hard drive): 750GB SATA II (7,200 RPM, 3Gb/s)

- Bluetooth®: Yes (tied to wireless card)
- Audio: Creative Sound Blaster® Recon3Di with THX TruStudio Pro Software
- Keyboard: AlienFX® illuminated
- Preinstalled software: McAfee® SecurityCenter (30-day trial), ALIENWARE™ COMMAND CENTER
Alienware M17x R4 is
not the same exact spec as this build, but I can tell you that this
laptop is a fantastic piece of hardware. I’ve had both 17″ and 18″
laptops and the difference of one inch is so minor to me that going with
an M17x was worth it: when you’re arm’s length away from the screen,
it’s still generously large. the M17x can switch to onboard graphics
when on battery and this works well for general computing. I can get
about two hours or more with the screen at full brightness and doing
random computing while overclocked. However, if you are gaming with
graphics enabled, you should still get over an hour of gametime like I
do. We’ve apparently come a long way in both laptop battery technology
and software that manages hardware power.
