” This was my first Toshiba laptop, and I am very pleased. Sure, it may be a little heavy and pack a brick of a power supply… but if you are like me and you want a laptop that can basically replace a desktop, this is it.
Pros (from my POV): Big, beautiful screen. Light up keyboard. Sexy design. Very nice sound. The HDD protection is an awesome plus. It runs my favorite games flawlessly, fluid fps in games like Counter Strike: Source, Oblivion, Fallout 3, Left 4 Dead: 2, Minecraft, etc. The ventilation is great, too. Unlike my previous HP laptop, the vent is more situated on the side of the laptop, rather than directly underneath, and also the Qosmo props itself up creating an arc for air flow on flat surfaces. It can get quite warm, but a cooling pad fixes that.Cons: A bit heavy and a bulky power supply, but it’s a small sacrifice for a great machine. The bloatware, a lot of unnecessary Toshiba software if being used for gaming/school, however programs like Advanced SystemCare have deep uninstall tools that uninstall multiple things at once. Or just do a clean OS install. Yes the power supply is a little easy to unplug, leading to it accidentally becoming unplugged, but securing the cord where it won’t be touched and the fact that I never really move the laptop around while using it makes this no problem at all. All in all it’s well worth the price, and was one helluva upgrade from my old laptop. I’ll be buying Toshiba from now on, no doubt.
